Welcome to Music Education at Auburn University.

The Music Education Program is housed in the Department of Curriculum & Teaching in the College of Education. Music Education degrees are offered in close collaboration with the Department of Music in the College of Liberal Arts.

We believe all levels of learners should be provided with musical experiences that lead to appreciation for creation and performance of music, understanding of the role of music in our everyday lives, and opportunities to develop musical knowledge and skills. We offer four degree programs:

Bachelor of Music Education

Master of Music Education

Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Music Education

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Music Education
