Incoming students are eligible to meet with a Career Center staff member beginning the semester before they start classes at Auburn. Auburn offers more than 140 academic majors! Look through the AU Bulletin, an easy to use record of every major and a projected plan of study for each.
Choosing a major is just the start; from there the possibile career paths are numerous. Check out What Can I Do With a Major In...?, a resource highlighting majors and the multiple career paths you can pursue through each.
Search by career or area of interest and learn about work activities and environments, required education, salary data and employment projections through O*NET OnLine and Occupational Outlook Handbook.
Want to know what a day in the life of a doctor, accountant, engineer, public relations specialist, etc. is like? Schedule a job shadowing experience with a professional in your field of interest.
Ask any lingering questions that you may have about a career field when you interview a professional in that area. Or, watch videos of informational interviews through the CandidCareer website.
