Captain Evan Porter is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, AFROTC, Detachment 005, Auburn, AL. In this capacity, he instructs junior and freshman courses on leadership and Air Force standards, and has responsibility for training and mentoring more than 120 students preparing to become Air Force officers.
Captain Porter is from Waltham, MA. He is a 2011 graduate of the US Air Force Academy with a degree in Economics. Most recently, Captain Porter managed a team of military, government, and contractor personnel at Hanscom AFB, MA, delivering and sustaining mission crew and maintenance training systems for the $2.7B E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Block 40/45 modernization program, the largest in AWACS history. Particularly, he led a 10 member section executing full-rate production for 40/45. As a program manager, Captain Porter ensured the Air Force’s newest technology is developed on time and on budget.
