By attending this workshop, you will:

  • Gain a better understanding of how your student's brain is developing during their college years
  • Learn academic policies and resources available to your student
  • Discover undergraduate majors and minors offered at Auburn University
  • Learn about the assessments your student took and had interpreted during the Choosing Your Major workshop
  • Learn about opportunities for parents and family members to assist their student in career exploration and building their resumes and web portfolios during college

Session Outline

College Parenting 101 - Learn how Auburn University students succeed academically with an understanding of the policies, support, resources, and majors and minors available.

Crash Course in Career Planning - Gain an understanding of the career assessment reports your student received during the Choosing Your Major workshop and how they can be helpful in self-assessment and career exploration. Learn about the additional resources available to help students explore majors and careers and discover ways to support them throughout their college years.
