Our Student Organizations

OIED Student Ambassadors

COSAM OIED Student Ambassadors seek to bring awareness to OIED services and programs; encourage interest in STEM fields in students from all backgrounds in grades K-12; and promote an inclusive environment for all students. Through these actions, the ultimate mission of Ambassadors is to function as liaisons, collaborators, and representatives of OIED and the diverse COSAM student populace. As such, Ambassadors is a link between the Office, Auburn students, grade school students, and also an extension of the COSAM OIED mission.

The Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) is a student organization that represents future underrepresented medical students. The main interest of MAPS is to create more socially and culturally competent physicians by educating undergraduate pre-health students about social justice issues that underrepresented communities face in healthcare. MAPS also offers mentorship, pre-health workshops, volunteer opportunities, and education about relevant healthcare topics.

STEM Coalition of United Learners

S.T.E.M. Coalition of United Learners is an organization designed to promote diversity within the S.T.E.M. fields. While centering our efforts on volunteering and outreach, STEM Coalition of United Learners serves as mentors to future professionals in Auburn and local communities. We represent a diverse group who emphasize the importance of the inclusion of people of different gender, background, ethnicity, and culture. We believe that there needs to be an emphasis on S.T.E.M. education and our central goal is to support diversity within the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to bring about true innovation.
