Bio: Dr. Elvan Ceyhan had his undergraduate education with BS in Mathematics at Koç University (KU), Istanbul, Turkey. Then he received an MS in 2000 from the Statistics Department of Oklahoma State University. He had a PhD from Applied Mathematics and Statistics Department of Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in 2005 where he also received an MSE. Then he was a post doctoral fellow at Center for Imaging Science, JHU for one year. After his post-doc, he became an assistant professor at Department of Mathematics at KU, and in 2011, he was promoted to associate professor level. In 2016 he came to Statistics Department of University of Pittsburgh as a visiting associate professor for one year. Currently he is the deputy director of SAMSI and a research associate professor at Statistics Department of North Carolina State University.
