New Summer Course, 'Survey of Multi-modality Molecular Imaging' to be offered.

Recently university approval was given to offer a 2 hr course for senior undergrads and graduate students called "Survey of Multi-modality Molecular Imaging." The course is a collaboration between Drs. Peter Panizzi (Pharmacy) Thomas Denny (Au MRI / Electrical Engineering), Ronald Beyers (Au MRI / Electrical Engineering), Raj Amin (HSOP), Michael Miller (OVPR / COSAM) and Anthony Moss (COSAM). In short, the course is designed to present background, significance, usage and limitations to current imaging modalities, like basic / fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, bioluminescence imaging, x-ray, CT, and MRI. There are also selected tours of the Auburn's various imaging capabilities / cores / centers, which will be scheduled so that members of the class will meet at that location on the indicated day. No transportation will be arrange by the lecturers for this purpose. The tentative time for the course is Tuesday / Thursday 1:30-3pm starting out in the HSOP.

The senior undergraduate course is PYPS 5800 and graduate PYPS 6800 listed under Panizzi in the department of Pharmacal Sciences in HSOP.
