Auburn DMS to be well represented at 50th annual Spring Topology and Dynamics Conference

The 50th Spring Topology and Dynamics Conference (Thursday, March 10, 2016 – Sunday, March 13, 2016) to be held at Baylor University (see http://sites.baylor.edu/topology-conference/ ) will see a small reunion of math department faculty, students, and graduates.


  •  Krystyna Kuperberg will give a workshop in dynamical systems.
  • Stu Baldwin will give a plenary lecture.   
  • Our postdoc Ana Mamatelashvili will give a semi-plenary talk.

Three of our former graduate students will also be giving semi-plenary talks: 

  • Jan Boronski (Krystyna Kuperberg's former student),
  • Alex Shibakov (Gary Gruenhage's former student), and
  • Judy Kennedy (former student of Ben Fitzpatrick). 
Michel Smith will be one of the presenters in a continuum theory workshop. 

The following faculty, students, and former students will give contributed talks:  

  • Ziqin Feng, Gary Gruenhage, Michel Smith, Alan Bertl, David Lipham, Steven Clontz, Tim Chase, Glenn Hughes, Ted Porter, and Scott Varagona.   

And as usual, Topology Proceedings, which is published at Auburn, will be publishing the conference proceedings.
