During National Laboratory Professionals Week, April 21-27, Clinical Laboratory Science students offered free blood typing to all students, faculty and staff in their lab on third floor of the Science Center Laboratory building.

On April 23 and 26, anyone could take a simple finger stick test and learn their blood type. Monetary donations were also welcomed to help pay for reagents.

“We wanted to increase the awareness of Medical Laboratory Science as a profession by showing people just one of the many types of tests that we run in the lab,” said Shannon Uhl, president of Lambda Tau, the honor society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
