Ambassadors from the Office of Inclusion, Equity and Diversity (OIED) shared an important, lifelong message on Monday, April 22, or Earth Day.

“We decorated pots and gave out seeds to make a difference to other students on Earth Day,” said Stephanie Yates, an OIED Ambassador.

These students gathered outside of the Sciences Classroom Center Building to encourage their peers to plant a seed on Earth Day, care for it and keep that message for the environment and the Earth flourishing.

“It’s a fun way to celebrate Earth Day,” said Lucy Chae, an OIED Ambassador.

Students also wrote messages as to how Earth Day connects everyone together.

“We are given this beautiful planet and we need to take care of it,” explained Shivani Rangari, an OIED Ambassador. “We hope other students enjoy today and leave thinking about Earth Day all year.”
