Amy Thomas is just one of eight people at Auburn University who passed the Certified Researcher Administrators certification test to become a National Certified Research Administrator.

“I was appointed to the NCURA Traveling Faculty, which is a highly competitive program where our leading professional organization chooses a very limited number of research admins to teach other research admins across the country,” Thomas said.

Thomas, who was recently reclassified to the director of research programs and develop and grant development, will serve as a faculty member for the National Council of University Research Administration (NCURA) for a term of three years.

“I am excited that Amy has received so many accolades this year,” said Ed Thomas, Jr., the Charles W. Barkley Endowed Professor and associate dean for research (ADR) and graduate studies. “She has helped the college secure millions in impressive grants and she deserves this important recognition of her accomplishments.”
