For years the Graduate Scholars Forum and Symposium has served as an opportunity for talented graduate students to hone their presentation skills and gain the experience and exposure that grooms students to become competent researchers of modern society. Through poster and oral presentations, students creatively address pertinent issues and advances in the fields of design, science, engineering, and humanities.
"I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully." These words, stated in the Auburn Creed, were done so by Dr. George Petrie, the First Dean of the Auburn University Graduate School. His words hold true today, as students continually strive to uphold the University’s mission of instruction, research, and extension.
Since 1992, the Auburn University Graduate School has hosted its annual Graduate Student Research Forum and Symposium. The Forum gives students a chance to showcase their hard-work and passion in their fields of study. The categories of research range from the humanities, design and sciences. Top presentations and posters are then honored by a chance to compete in the Research Symposium, showcasing the very best of graduate research at Auburn University.
