Competitors in the Graduate Scholars Forum are critiqued by faculty judges in the following 8 categories: aesthetics, appropriateness, organization, conciseness/succinctness, content/merit, responses to audience questions, technical understanding, and presentation skills. Presenters are given a score from 0 (worst) to 10 (best) in each of the 8 categories. The students with the highest average point tallies advance to the Graduate Symposium at Research Week, a campus-wide event that celebrates research and creative scholarship.
The Graduate Scholars Forum is organized by the Graduate Student Council and supported by the Graduate School.
