Welcome Back!

To all students, welcome back to Auburn University!  It's going to be another amazing semester, and the Graduate Student Council is starting right away with events, meetings, and informational sessions.  Please read ahead to learn of all the great things we have going on in August!

First, and most urgently, The Graduate Student Orientation for Fall 2013 will take place Monday, August 18th at 9 A.M.  New Graduate students are encouraged to attend in order to hear from many of Auburn's amazing administrators, as well as learn the "ins and outs" of daily campus life.  The event will take place at the Auburn Arena.  This will also be a great chance to meet with the GSC officers and learn about the organization!

Secondly, the GSC will host an Ice Cream Social on Friday, August 23rd from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M.  There will be free popsicles (from Overall) as well as other refreshments.  The event will take place in the Langdon Hall Annex courtyard.  We hope to see you all there!

Next, the GSC will have the first meeting of the semester on Wednesday, August 28th.  Attendance is open to all graduate students.  We will be working in this meeting on implementing additional uses of Robert's Rules, so it is essential that senators attend.

That same week, we will have our first Grad Student Social.  Friday, August 30th, the GSC will be hosting (with Stir Auburn) a graduate student and proefssional student karaoke night.  Food will be provided for free from 7 P.M. until supplies are gone.  Graduate students of all departments are invited, as well as professional students!  This will be the first of many events that extend invitations to both groups, so stay tuned for many more!

Please also note the first Colloquium will be soon after September begins, details will follow!

Welcome back, and War Eagle!
