P2P File Sharing Programs
Most P2P programs (LimeWire, Kazaa, etc.) have been created for the sole purpose of copyright infringement through the reproduction and distribution of copyrighted intellectual property; such as, software, video (movies), and audio (music). Also, P2P programs are notorious for including malicious software that is used to damage computers and collect personal information.
Note: Legal action has been brought to AU students from both the MPAA and the RIAA, resulting in severe financial consequences and potential incarceration.
All legal means to obtain music and video (i.e. iTunes, etc.) are allowed on campus.
- Peer-to-peer file sharing disabled
