Big Event 365

Members of the 2013 BIG Event Executive team visit 2011 homeowner Rex Barrington

The BIG Event 365 is our staff’s opportunity to positively impact their community beyond the four hours of service provided on the day of the event in March.  This new branch of service was inspired by The BIG Event’s Executive and Leadership Teams continued relations with 2011 homeowner Rex Barrington.  Ms. Barrington taught us that the impact that The BIG Event provides does not have to be confined to the four hours of the event in March, but can instead serve as an opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of those in the Auburn community all 365 days of the year.

The BIG Event 365 sends representatives from its Executive, Leadership, and Committee teams to the home of a person who has been reached by The BIG Event in past years, in an attempt to continue the relations established through the event.  Through a staff-written note and visit, we hope to uphold our mission statement:  “One Big Family, One Big Difference, One BIG Event.”
