Dr. Baker Ayoun is an associate professor in the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program, where he has been since 2007. He also serves as the graduate officer for the Ph.D. and M.S. programs in hospitality management.
He received bachelor as well as MBA degrees from his native country of Jordan. He completed his Ph.D. in hotel and restaurant administration at Oklahoma State University in 2006. He is also a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE).
Dr. Ayoun’s research and teaching interests center on international hospitality operations, hospitality strategies, and hospitality education. He profoundly incorporates international dimensions in his work, and currently leads the only study abroad program going to a Middle Eastern country for AU students.
