Dr. James E. Groccia was the founding Director of the Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (2003-2013) and is now Professor of Higher Education in the College of Education’s Department of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Technology at Auburn University. He was previously Assistant Dean of the Graduate School and Director of the Program for Excellence in Teaching at the University of Missouri. Jim is a former President of the Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (POD) and is the author/co-author/co-editor of numerous book chapters and journal articles and 11 books on teaching, learning and higher education. Jim was a Fulbright Scholar at the Institute of Educational Sciences at the University of Tartu in Estonia in 2011 and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the American University in Cairo in 2014. He has presented at conferences, consulted, and conducted workshops throughout the US as well as in Ecuador, Egypt, England, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Germany, Scotland, Lebanon, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.
