IPUTL International Presenters Scholarship

The International Perspectives on University Teaching and Learning Symposium was created to provide a cross-border community of higher-education professionals wishing to learn, grow and advance the internationalization of teaching. We recognize that we can only truly have an “international perspective” with robust participation from presenters and attendees from outside the U.S. We also understand that international travel can be cost prohibitive. In order to help address these issues, we are offering the IPUTL International Presenters Scholarship to reduce the cost of attendance for presenters from outside the U.S.

Scholarship Details

  • Awardees will receive a discounted registration rate of only $100 (a $625 discount from the early-bird rate).
  • Up to 10 scholarships will be awarded.

Eligibility

  • Potential presenters from outside the U.S. may apply.
  • U.S.-based potential presenters are not eligible.
  • Scholarship applicants must submit BOTH the scholarship application and a presentation proposal.
  • Potential concurrent session presenters, workshop presenters and Conversation Starter essayists/speed roundtable presenters are all eligible.
  • Applicants must ensure they have other funding for airfare, hotel, and other travel expenses. The scholarship significantly reduces the cost of registration but does not provide any additional monetary support.
  • Applicants must be able to apply for and receive a visa for travel to the U.S. (or be eligible to enter the U.S. without a visa).
  • Only one scholarship will be awarded per presentation/essay. Co-presenters/co-authors are not eligible.
  • Awardees must register for IPUTL and confirm their attendance by March 1, 2025. Failure to do so could result in the scholarship being revoked and awarded to another attendee.
