The minutes from the September 4 meeting were reviewed. Asmuth moved that the minutes be accepted. Moncus seconded and the motion carried.

Gottesman welcomed Dr. Muse. Muse urged support for the United Way. He presented a list of accomplishments made by Auburn University over the past calendar year. He then opened the floor for questions.

Gottesman thanked Asmuth for her work as Chair of the A&P Assembly and the accomplishments of the A&P Assembly. He mentioned that the Assembly has been involved in many administrative decisions, such as, the review of the Policies & Procedures Manual, and working with the faculty senate for appropriate representation on University committees. Asmuth also served on the Budget Advisory committee which was the first year that A&P had representation. The Grievance committee had its first full functioning year and an Ad hoc committee, chaired by Kevin Robinson, is currently working on an A&P Handbook.

Gottesman asked for volunteers to serve on a committee for Constitutional Revision. He requested input from the Assembly regarding elections and how reorganization effects elections.

Gottesman has met with all A&P committees and the chairs for each committee have been elected. The Professional Development committee is looking into a consulting policy for A&P employees and the Welfare committee is looking into the semester transition issues. Along with this, it was mentioned that Dr. Curtis has asked the A&P employee group to think about and give feedback about how the semester transition will effect the welfare of the employees in regard to their personal life. The Welfare Committee will continue with this for further review. Gottesman encouraged Assembly members to give feedback to the Welfare committee.
