Minutes of the Steering Committee Meeting
4 January 2010

In Attendance:  Kathryn Flynn, Mary Ellen Mazey, Russ Muntifering, Bob Locy, Emmett Winn, Jim Wright, Larry Crowley, Dennis DeVries, Claire Crutchley, Bill Hames

Absent:  David Shannon

--The meeting was called to order at 3:30 PM

--The minutes from the 7 December 2009 Steering Committee meetings were approved without change. 

--We discussed the draft agenda for the 12 January 2010 Senate meeting.  The agenda will likely have action items relative to the monthly meeting dates for the Senate, recommended changes to the Core Curriculum, and guidelines for the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions.  We discussed a number of potential information items as well. 

--Kathryn will announce the slate of candidates for Senate office during her Chair remarks at the 12 January 2010 meeting. 

--The meeting was adjourned at 4:50 PM.
