Jung Won Hur is an associate professor in the department of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Technology. She earned her doctorate at Indiana University in 2007 and received her M.Ed. and B.S. in Elementary Education from Seoul National University of Education, South Korea. Her research interests focus on technology integration in classrooms, online teacher professional development, computer education, and global learning. For the past four years, she has coordinated the Global Studies in Education-South Korea program designed to help local school teachers and administrators promote appreciation of diversity and global education in school settings. She served on Academic Computing Committee, Traffic Appeals Board, and various college and department committees. She is in her first term as Senator and has served since 2015.
Ming-Kuo Lee (at Auburn since 1995), Robert B. Cook Professor of Geosciences, 2010-present
Dr. Lee has acted as Geosciences Senator, 2014-present.
He has been active in several duties within COSAM and Auburn University. He acts as Co-Chair, Auburn University Cluster Hiring Initiative on Climate Change, Human, and Earth System Sciences (CHESS); he was Chair of Search Committee for Paleoclimatology Faculty position (CHESS Cluster Hiring Initiative); he served as a member of Search Committee for New Dean of COSAM, 2013; and is the Auburn Representative on APLU (Association of Public and Land-grant Universities Board) of Oceans, Atmosphere, and Climate, 2015-present.
Dr. Anwar Ahmed is Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University. He received his masters and doctorate from the Wichita State University where his research focused on experimental work in wind tunnels and flight tests. He joined Auburn in 1998 and helped in establishing the Aerodynamics Laboratory and Vortex Dynamics laboratory. He has supervised graduate research in addition to mentoring a number of undergraduate students in his labs. He has also worked closely with K-12 STEM education through Alabama 4-H, a program of Alabama Cooperative Extension System. He has served on a number of committees at department, college and university level at Auburn and is also a faculty advisor of Sigma Gama Tau – an aerospace honors society. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and has served AIAA in various technical capacities.
