Holden Camp
Dean's Medal: Biological Sciences
Holden Camp will graduate summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and a minor in human development and family studies. Camp is taking a gap year following graduation and will be a Community Health Fellow at Project Horseshoe Farm, a non-profit organization in Greensboro, Alabama. He will apply to physician assistant school this upcoming summer. He is hoping to get a double master’s in physician assistant studies and public health. During his time at Auburn, he worked closely with students and academic advisors in the College of Sciences and Mathematics as a COSAM Peer Advisor, COSAM Recruiter, and student worker.
In 2017, Camp participated in a Summer International Health Fellowship with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children(FIMRC)where he spent eight weeks at Project Limon in Limon, Nicaragua working alongside FIMRC staff to bring improved healthcare to communities in the developing world. In 2018, Camp planned a trip with Alternative Student Breaks, a service organization on campus, where he led a group of 10 students to FIMRC’s Project Alajuelita in Costa Rica. In addition, Camp has served as the volunteer coordinator, vice president, and president of the Pre-PA Club. He feels honored to have been in the position to help fellow Pre-PA students navigate their path to PA school. Camp has also been heavily involved with Mercy Medical Clinicas a front-desk volunteer and a volunteer medical assistant. Camp is thankful for all the opportunities he has gotten to partake in during his four years at Auburn University and is excited to see what the future has in store.
