DMS Applied Algebraic Geometry Conference to be held on April 19 and 20, 2025.

An Applied Algebraic Geometry conference will be held at Auburn University, April 19-20, 2025 (just after the Macaulay2 workshop at Tulane University (New Orleans, Louisiana) on April 14-18), organized by Luke Oeding and John Cobb. The fifth edition of “Meetings in Applied Algebraic Geometry” (MAAG) is held jointly among Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia Tech. MAAG 2025 will have eight speakers and has time set apart for turbo talks from graduate students and postdocs.

Among the confirmed speakers are Thomas Kahle (OvGU Magdeburg), Felice Manganiello (Clemson University), Julia Lindberg (University of Texas-Austin), and Greg Blekherman (Georgia Tech). Their combined research areas span algebraic statistics, numerical algebraic geometry, coding theory, and power networks.
