COSAM exceeds Tiger Giving Day goal

The College of Sciences and Mathematics’ Tiger Giving Day project was fully funded by 69 people who contributed more than $10,000 in 24 hours.

These generous donors played a tremendous role in enhancing the quality of our students’ educational experience by providing a much-needed, permanent, high-quality telescope for the COSAM astronomy program.

The telescope will be used in the astronomy terrace, a new addition to Leach Science Center. As part of COSAM’s continued efforts to enhance its facilities, the new astronomy terrace will provide students and faculty with modern, cutting-edge spaces where they can learn and conduct research. It will also allow the department to accommodate more students interested in astronomy to enroll in the course.

For more information on the new astronomy terrace, or for ways to give, contact the COSAM Office of Development at brook@auburn.edu or 334.844.7780.
