Alpha Epsilon Delta Welcomes New Members

Congratulations to all the students who became members of the national honor society, Alpha Epsilon Delta. These students took a pledge and were welcomed by all of the officers in a ceremony on April 8. Learn more about the importance of being a member of this organization.

COSAM Freshman Awarded the Joan K. Hunt and Rachel M. Hunt Summer Scholarship in Field Botany

This summer, Noah Yawn will participate in a research project at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. He will be directly helping a variety of plants including the Alabama cane-brake pitcher plant. Read about this passionate freshman and how he is using his summer to help conduct research and make a difference through conservation efforts.

2019 Annual Duncan Memorial Lecture - Water in Our Solar System: Thursday, April 18, 2019, 5 p.m., Sciences Center Auditorium

Join us for the annual Duncan Memorial Lecture and view accompanying artwork at the Jules Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art. This year’s lecture will be delivered by Dr. Dennis Bodewits, an astrophysicist, who studies comets to study the origins of our solar system.

Auburn Azaleas Festival Brings Our Community Together

On Saturday, April 20, the Auburn Azalea Festival will include a local market, popular food trucks, nineties music by The Flannel, and even a reading by the Mystic Order of East Alabama Fiction Writers. The plant sale begins sharply at 8 a.m., and there will even be an appearance by Aubie at 9 a.m. Check out this year's event

COSAM Leaders President Studying to Pursue Dermatology

“Going from core classes to the classes I’m in now and how I was so much more interested in the science and math areas just really sells it that this is what I should be studying and this is where my passion is,” Wade said. “I’ve grown in a lot of different ways and gotten to meet very interesting people and that’s only going to continue.” Find out about this outstanding COSAM student.
