Influential Auburn Alumnus, C. Harry Knowles, Leaves Lasting Legacy with Nationwide Impact

"Harry brought great energy and passion to everything he did because he was never afraid to fail,” explained Dean Nicholas J. Auburn University College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) Alumnus Brian Keener Wears Many Hats

“When I have the opportunity to explore new habitats and see new plants, it still excites me as much as when I just started. There is no doubt that the most exciting moments are making new discoveries of entities in nature that are new to science and requiring naming and describing,” Keener said. Museum Bird Collection Showcases Regional Specimens

“It documents a lot of unique birds from Alabama,” Dr. Hill said. “It’s a great resource for the students to learn about the birds they see regularly.” Learn more about the bird collection at Auburn's Museum of Natural History.
