NSF Funding Assists Auburn in Preparing Students to Collaboratively Solve STEM Problems

“Being exposed to research early during college by mentors who had a vested interest in my success changed my career trajectory. Many of those same people are still my mentors today. We hope that we can provide the same experience for the students who participate in this program,” explained Kimberly Mulligan-Guy, assistant dean, Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity.

COSAM students -- make your voice heard in the 2020 Census! Don't forget Auburn students temporarily living away from campus due to COVID-19 should still complete the census and be counted in the state of Alabama.

COSAM Senior Plans to Inspire Future Scientists through Teaching

“COSAM has offered me very challenging coursework that is at times frustrating, but in the end so rewarding because they have allowed my mind and knowledge to grow in ways I hadn’t thought possible,” Hester said. “I’ve created relationships with professors and other students that have helped me grow as a student and as a human. I’m so thankful for the challenges that professors have thrown at me because I feel so prepared for the coming challenges of graduate school and grad-level classes.”

Applied Mathematics Helps Alumnus as a Trial Attorney

“My advice for current COSAM students would be to focus on the task at hand and to be the very best that you can be every day. A commitment to the best grades you can muster while being as well rounded as possible will make you yet another successful Auburn graduate,” Oliver said.
