Career, mentorship of Auburn’s Jenda profiled in mathematics magazine

Auburn University’s Overtoun Jenda, assistant provost for Special Projects and Initiatives and professor of mathematics in the College of Sciences and Mathematics, or COSAM, is featured in the upcoming February issue of the magazine “Notices of the American Mathematical Society.”

Please join COSAM OIED and our 2019 Inclusive Excellence in STEM student awardee, Hayleigh Hallam, as we host a panel discussion entitled Just Medicine - A Cure for Racial Inequality in American Health Care, an extension on topics covered in Dayna Matthew’s book by the same name.

SEPEEG virtual conference engages faculty and students across the nation

“I am so appreciative that Dr. Stevison and Dr. Wolak invited us to help with the conference,” explained Taylor Papstein-Novak, a graduate research assistant in the Department of Biological Sciences. “SEPEEG always has great science, but has also been one of the best networking platforms. I was glad we were able to still provide a sense of community by having breakout sessions between the talks and posters.”
