Camp War Eagle

Welcome to the Auburn Family!
Congratulations on your acceptance to Auburn University! We look forward to hosting you this summer at Auburn's orientation program for new freshmen, Camp War Eagle (CWE). Through CWE, we will provide an experience which will promote the academic, social and personal success of incoming freshman students. We hope our website will provide all necessary information and instructions to prepare you for your orientation session.
During CWE, you will:
- Meet your CWE Orientation Counselor and other incoming freshman students while you learn more about Auburn.
- Discover campus resources and departments to help you succeed at Auburn.
- Connect with your academic advisor and register for classes.
Save the Date - CWE Preview Webinar
Students and family members, join us on Monday, April 28 at 6 pm CT at aub.ie/cwepreview. During the webinar, we will provide an overview of Camp War Eagle, First Year Seminars and Learning Communities, and discuss things incoming freshmen should be working on prior to their CWE session. If you can't attend live, we'll post the recording on our homepage.
Tips to Prepare for CWE Registration:
CWE registration opens on Wednesday, March 26 at 1 pm CT for deposited freshman students.
- CWE is how incoming freshmen will register for classes. This program is critical to your success and aids in the transition into Auburn. Be sure you register for a session!
- Verify you have the First Year Experience tile in AU Access. You must have submitted your $250 enrollment deposit to register for CWE. Usually within 24 hours of payment, your AU Access adds this tile. If you don't see the First Year Experience tile on your AU Access homepage, scroll to the bottom and click Discover More. This will bring up an alphabetical list of all of the tiles you have access to. Once you find it, you can bookmark this tile to your homescreen for easy access later. Make sure you have the First Year Experience tile at least a day before CWE registration opens. You can pay your enrollment deposit at: apply.auburn.edu/status. Please note the $250 enrollment deposit is different than the $100 housing application fee.
- Check the CWE dates. Not every college is at every session, so be sure to review your options at: fye.auburn.edu/cwe/dates. Instructions for how to register for CWE are also on that webpage.
- Registration is first come, first served. Some sessions will fill up in minutes, so be prepared with a first choice and backup options. Please remember that selecting an earlier session of CWE will not give you an advantage in registering for classes. There will be a similar distribution of seats in core classes provided for each session so that all incoming freshman students who participate in CWE have an equal chance of selecting necessary and desired courses.
- Guests are encouraged to attend. As you fill out the registration form, you will be asked for any guest’s name, email address, and if they need any special accommodations. We recommend talking in advance to determine who will attend and having their information ready to go. If you aren’t ready to commit at the time of CWE registration, you can call or email us to add them later. There is a $75 non-refundable fee per guest.
- Book travel wisely. Make sure your CWE session is confirmed before you book hotel or travel arrangements. Your anticipated departure time will be around 4:30 pm CT on the second day of your session after you have registered for your fall class schedule. If you are flying out of Atlanta (ATL) after your session, plan to fly after 9:30 pm ET to allow for travel time to the airport, the time change, and navigating to your gate.
- No payment is needed right now. The CWE fees will be added to one of your first eBills for the fall semester.
We appreciate your patience as we anticipate a large volume of calls and emails when we open registration. Students, when emailing us please use your Auburn email account.
