The Auburn University Bands is seeking donations to fund the Madison Scott Argo Memorial Endowed Band Scholarship. Madison passed unexpectedly at the age of 32 on September 28, 2023, in Marietta, Georgia. At the time of his passing, Madison was the Director of Bands at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia.
Madison, born in Alexander City, Alabama, attended Benjamin Russell High School and upon graduation, went on to study music at Auburn University. Madison served the Auburn Band programs in various ways. He was an accomplished musician and held many leadership programs within the AU Bands. Most notably, he was Drum Major for the 380-member marching band.
The amount needed to fund an endowed scholarship is $25,000. We have set the goal for the memorial scholarship at $32,000, one thousand dollars for every year Madison was alive before his untimely passing.
