Annual Parking Vehicle Registration

 

Will any more PC or R zone spots be made available? I logged onto the parking system at 8 a.m. and attempted to register, and kept receiving an error message. Now it says parking is sold out. Parking permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the PCs and R zone parking permits sell out, no more are made available.
Why do I keep receiving an error message when trying to register? Due to the large number of students attempting to register as soon as their registration window opens, our system becomes overloaded and will occasionally crash resulting in an error message.
How do I obtain parking if I keep receiving the error message? Our suggestion is to keep trying! With everyone trying to register at the same time, you have to make your selection at just the right time to secure parking before it sells out.
I had a parking permission in my cart and then it was gone! What do I do? Unfortunately, a parking permission can be removed from your cart if you do not check out fast enough. Be prepared before your registration time and have all of the vehicle information ready to enter to complete the process as quickly as possible.
I did not get my preferred parking. Does that mean I do not get any parking? No! Overflow parking (RO/C) will open on Thursday at 12 p.m. There is enough overflow parking for everyone that did not get preferred parking. Check back any time after 12 p.m. on Thursday and you will be able to register.
I keep calling, but I can’t get through! It just keeps ringing. Our phone lines experience very high call volumes during registration days. If the line keeps ringing, it means we are assisting other customers. You can also send us an email or try again later once the call volumes have decreased.
There are multiple people in our family using different devices trying to register at the same time, but we are having issues. What do we do? Only one person should be logged into the account for registration. If there are multiple people logged into one account then you will experience issues.
The vehicle I currently have is not the vehicle I will have on campus in the Fall. How do I register? You can update your vehicle information at any time. Register with your current vehicle information, but be sure to notify our office to update it once you receive your new vehicle information.
I was a TES employee this summer but will be a student in the Fall. Why can’t I register? If your TES position has not ended and terminated, you will still have the classification of a TES employee. Contact our office once your TES position has ended and we’ll assist with getting you parking.

Other Information:

  • All vehicle registration transactions are final therefore no refunds are issued under any circumstances.
  • Review all parking zone locations on campus by visiting the parking map.

  • Graduate Students:

  • If your name was submitted to the Graduate School to receive an upgraded permission, you will receive an email with registration instructions if you are selected.
  • If you purchase a PC permission then you will not be eligible for a B zone upgrade.
    1. Log into your AU Access with your Auburn University username (abc0000) and password
    2. Select the “My Campus” tab in the top header
    3. Select the “Parking” icon which will appear as AU Access Car With Letter P Logo

    To completely register your vehicle, you will need to provide the following information:

    1. Year model
    2. Vehicle make
    3. Identify if it is a 2-door or 4-door vehicle
    4. Vehicle color
    5. License plate number

    Bicycles must be registered by the second week of class for each of the semesters (fall, spring and summer). After that time, any bicycle that is not registered or not properly chained to a bicycle rack will be removed and placed in the impound lot at the owner's expense. You may register your bicycle online, from August 2nd of each calendar year through June 30th of the following calendar year, within your AU Access account. To obtain a bicycle permit during July of each calendar year, you must come to the Parking Services Office to register the bicycle. You must pick up the bicycle permit at the Parking Services Office unless you are Faculty/Staff and order the permit before September 4th.

     

    Student Registration

    All preferred parking (RX, RW, RD, RH) will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be assigned a specific date and window of time to purchase your parking permission. Please pay close attention to the dates below so that you can be well informed of your registration time. Once the predetermined maximum occupancy rates are reached for a specific lot, that lot will no longer be available for purchase. All resident students will have the opportunity to select the RO (resident overflow) lot if you desire on campus parking. Preferred residential permits (RX, RW, RD, RH) are $180/annually and residential overflow (RO) is $100/annually. Registration for RO will open on July 22, 2021.

    Quad (RX): Tuesday, July 20 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.

    Village (RW): Tuesday, July 20 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

    Hill (RH): Wednesday, July 21 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.

    South Donahue (RD): Wednesday, July 21 at 12 p.m.

    Cambridge (RO): Thursday, July 22 at 8 a.m.

    • Cambridge residents will only be eligible for RO parking permits

    160 Ross (RO): Thursday, July 22 at 8 a.m.

    • 160 Ross residents will only be eligible for RO parking permits

    Residential Overflow (RO): Thursday, July 22 at 12 p.m.

    • Thursday, July 22 at noon, any residents who did not receive a parking permit will be able to purchase an RO permit for the 2021-2022 academic year


    Beginning August 16, 2021 Parking Services will begin enforcing and monitoring lots to ensure everyone is parked in their assigned zones.

    All preferred parking (PC 1 Coliseum lot, PC 2 Arena lot, PC 4 West Village lot, PC 5 CDV lot) will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be assigned a specific date and window of time to purchase these parking permissions based on your credit hours at Auburn University. Freshmen will not be eligible for the preferred parking. Please pay close attention to the dates below so that you can be well informed of your registration time. Once the predetermined maximum occupancy rates are reached for a specific lot, that lot will no longer be available for purchase. All commuter students will have the opportunity to register for the regular commuter parking (C-zone) if you desire on campus parking. Registration for C zone will open on July 29, 2021. Preferred parking permits are $180/annually and overflow (C) is $100/annually.

    Graduate Students:Tuesday, July 27 from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.

    Seniors:Tuesday, July 27 from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m

    Juniors:Wednesday, July 28 from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.

    Sophomores:Wednesday, July 28 from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

    Freshmen: Thursday, July 29 from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.

    Overflow (C):Thursday, July 29 from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.


    Once registration has concluded and parking assignments are issued, there will be no refunds.

    Faculty and Staff

    Registration will open August 10, 2021 at 8 a.m. and payroll deductions will be pre-tax.

    • A-zone parking permissions will be $80/year and $50/semester.
    • B-zone parking permissions will be $40/year and $20/semester.

    Retirees

    Registration will open August 10, 2021 at 8 a.m..

    • Parking permissions will be $60/year and $20/semester.
    • Currently we do not accept online payments however, we are making considerable effort to provide an online payment option available as soon as possible.
    • At this time we accept vehicle information by email (parking@auburn.edu) or you can enter your own personal vehicle information via our vehicle registration portal.

    • Please note that if you enter your own vehicle information through our portal that this does not complete your permission renewal. You will still need to finalize payment by utilizing one of the options below.

    • 1) Visit our office. You can come to our office located at 330 Lem Morrison Drive and renew your parking permission. In response to COVID-19, we have rearranged our office to comply with social distancing rules and guidelines in addition to providing masks to every visitor upon entry.
    • 2) Mail us a check. If you do not feel comfortable visiting our office, you can mail a check made out to Auburn University, to the below address. Before mailing the check you can simply send an email to parking@auburn.edu with your banner ID number, vehicle information, and let us know when you will be placing your check in the mail. Once we receive your check, we will process your registration and email you a copy of the receipt.
