How to Register Online

  1. Log into your AU Access with your Auburn University username (abc0000) and password

  2. Select the “My Campus” tab

  3. Select the “Parking Passes” icon

  4. Select "Order Account Permit" located in the navy blue header

To completely register your vehicle, you will need to provide the following information:

  1. Vehicle model

  2. Vehicle make

  3. Vehicle color
  4. License plate number

All preferred parking (Village-RW, South Donahue-RD, Hill-RH) will be assigned through a random selection process. Students may log in and submit their preferred parking choices between June 15 and July 17.

On July 21, notifications will be sent using the random selection process, and students will be notified via email of their parking designation.

Selected students will then be able to go online and claim the preferred permit they were selected for.  Students will have until August 7 to claim their permit.

If the permit is not claimed by August 7, you will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.

Students who are not selected for a preferred residential parking permit will have the opportunity to purchase a permit in the RO (resident overflow) lot if on-campus parking is still desired.

Registration for RO will open on July 27, 2026.

Preferred residential permits (RW, RD, RH) are $230 annually, and residential overflow (RO) permits are $150 annually.

Once registration has been completed and parking assignments are issued, there will be no refunds.

Joining a waitlist does not guarantee the selected preferred permit.

Residents of The Quad, Concourse, 160 Ross, 191 College, and The Union, are only eligible for resident overflow parking (RO).

Freshmen are not eligible to join the preferred parking (PC1, PC2, PC4, PC5) waitlists.

  • If your name was submitted to the Graduate School to receive an upgraded permission, you will receive an email with registration instructions if you are selected.

  • If you purchase a PC permission then you will not be eligible for a B zone upgrade.

Personal Bicycles

Bicycles must be registered by the second week of class for each of the semesters (fall, spring and summer). After that time, any bicycle that is not registered or not properly chained to a bicycle rack will be removed and placed in the impound lot at the owner's expense. You may register your bicycle online, from August 2nd of each calendar year through June 30th of the following calendar year, within your AU Access account. To obtain a bicycle permit during July of each calendar year, you must come to the Parking Services Office to register the bicycle. You must pick up the bicycle permit at the Parking Services Office unless you are Faculty/Staff and order the permit before September 4th.

Electric Scooters

All electric scooters must be registered within your AU Access account. Once registering your electric scooter, all students should review the campus policy.

Electric Vehicles Charging Station Locations

The electric vehicle charging stations will require the owner to purchase a valid AU permit prior to utilization. Registered vehicles have free access to the charging stations up to four hours before relocating to their assigned zone.

Locations:

  • Stadium Parking Deck, 1st level: 5 stations

  • South Quad Parking Deck, 2nd level: 4 stations

  • South Donahue Parking Deck 1st level: 4 stations

  • West 2 Parking Lot: 2 stations

  • College of Veterinary Medicine: 2 stations

Registration FAQ

No! Overflow parking will open on Monday, July 27 at 8am. There is enough overflow parking for everyone that did not get preferred parking.

Our phone lines experience very high call volumes during registration days. If the line keeps ringing, it means we are assisting other customers. You can also send us an email or try again later once the call volumes have decreased.

Only one person should be logged into the account for registration. If there are multiple people logged into one account then you will experience issues.

You can update your vehicle information at any time. Register with your current vehicle information but be sure to notify our office to update it once you receive your new vehicle information.

If your TES position has not ended and terminated, you will still have the classification of a TES employee. Contact our office once your TES position has ended and we’ll assist with getting you parking.

  • All vehicle registration transactions are final therefore no refunds are issued under any circumstances.

  • Review all parking zone locations on campus by visiting the parking map.
