Adrienne Duke-Marks, associate professor and extension specialist in the College of Human Sciences, will be speaking at the Feb. 6 Science Café at 6:30 p.m.

“I am excited to be a part of the AU Science Cafe because I believe vaping is an important topic that impacts both youth and young adults,” said Duke-Marks. “The topic of vaping spans across multiple disciplines including public health, environmental sciences, human development and family sciences and many others. So, I’m excited to bring awareness to the complex issue of vaping.”

Duke-Marks, the recipient of the Auburn University 2023 Award for Excellence in Faculty Outreach, will be discussing Sweet Addition: The Complex Problem of Vaping.

The Bean is located at 140 A North Dean Road in Auburn.

Additionally, Duke-Marks has developed Escape Vapes, a series of anti-vaping programs with Alabama Extension Human Sciences.

Science Café is hosted by the STEM Outreach Office in the College of Sciences and Mathematics.
