The Southern Educational Robotics Conference (SERC) will be held at Auburn University on Oct. 10 - 11. Attendee registration is now open, with early bird registration ending on July 31.

Since its inception in 2019, SERC has been a pivotal event for providing essential training and leadership opportunities in robotics education. This year, we are thrilled to welcome Leslie Fisher as our keynote speaker. Leslie travels the globe, sharing her passion for K-12 technology education.

We invite educators like you to present and share your experiences at the conference. By sharing your best practices in STEM education through robotics, you can inspire and inform fellow educators across the South.

Presentation sessions can be either 45 or 100 minutes and may be structured as ‘Listen and Learn’ sessions or interactive, hands-on workshops. We are seeking proposals on the following topics:

  • Using robots to teach content
  • Virtual robotics and coding options
  • Grants and funding for robotics
  • Teaching digital literacy and computer science standards using robotics
  • Expanding diversity in robotics programs
  • Robotics competitions
  • Robotics education research

Submit your presentation proposal online to be part of this year's conference.

“SERC is an incredible opportunity for educators to immerse themselves in valuable information and resources,” said Jennifer Spencer, assistant director of the Southeastern Center of Robotics Education (SCORE). “We encourage robotics educators in this region to submit their proposals to help others enhance computer science and robotics educational opportunities throughout the area.”
