Ravneet is currently a first year PhD student in Dr. Courtney Leisner's lab in the department of biological sciences here at Auburn University. She is also continuing to finish her masters in the department of entomology at University of Nebraska Lincoln. She received her B.S. in Agriculture (hons.) with a major in plant breeding, genetics and biotechnology from Punjab Agricultural University (India). During her PhD she is focusing on understanding the physiological mechanisms involved in reduction of the nutrient content in soybean with the increased CO2 content due to climate change. From a farming family in India, Ravneet has always found herself when in nature. Apart from her research, she is interested in learning about population genetics, plant physiology and the coding to make data analysis time efficient. In her free time Ravneet enjoys reading novels, baking, learning new musical instruments and drawing cartoons and landscapes.
