Steve is a Ph.D. student in Public Administration and Public Policy with concentrations in Community Planning and Public Administration. He holds a Masters' Degree in Public Service Administration and a Bachelors' Degree in Political Science, both from Texas A&M University. Steve has worked in government at both the county and state level prior to enrolling at Auburn. During his time at Texas A&M University, Steve was part of a team that worked directly with the Texas Attorney General's Office to help produce educational materials for victims of domestic minor sex trafficking. As a Brazos County employee, Steve helped write and revise the policy handbook of the Sheriff's Office. Steve also spent time as a volunteer first responder with Texas Search and Rescue, a state-wide NGO focused on emergency response and relief. Currently, Steve's research is focused on how government actors can more effectively and equitably build resilience in their communities. He is currently working under the direction of Dr. Michelle Worosz on the Future of Farming Project, a co-disciplinary effort to disseminate climate-smart technology in Alabama farming communities.
