Research and Teaching Interests
My research is at the intersection of geology, environmental science, and human health. The research questions most concern the nature of toxic organic contaminants in the environment, and we use creative analytical techniques to characterization of organic matter in water and sediment. Potential projects can include applications of compound-specific isotope analysis toward fate and transport of organic contaminants, analytical characterization of organic matter in water systems, and health determinates related to organic matter consumption.
