AU-AUST
AU-AUST Collaborative Program
The Auburn University (AU) - African University of Science and Technology (AUST) partnership was initiated in Fall 2008. AUST is a private, pan-African, coeducational, research university located in Abuja, Nigeria. A memorandum of understanding signed by the two institutions allows them to partner in educational and research activities such as faculty and student exchange, joint research programs, special short-term academic programs, and organization of international conferences and workshops. The committee that developed the partnership and collaborative mathematics and statistics program consisted of Drs. Ash Abebe, Geraldo De Souza, Overtoun Jenda and Michel Smith of AU Department of Mathematics & Statistics and Dr. Charles Chidume of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy, and now the acting provost at AUST.
