Syllabus Success Header

Dear Colleagues,

Auburn University's Simple Syllabus system is now live and available to the campus community! As you prepare your course syllabi for the fall semester, please use the Simple Syllabus tool in Canvas or visit auburn.simplesyllabus.com to create, edit, upload, and publish your syllabus. Please note that the standard Canvas Syllabus tool does not connect to the Auburn University Syllabus Repository (see image below).

As a reminder, faculty have two options for publishing their syllabi:

  • Upload an existing syllabus. Faculty who already have a completed syllabus may upload it directly into Simple Syllabus. If you choose this option, please remember to remove identifying information, such as your name, email address, phone number, office location, and office hours, before publishing. To learn how to upload your syllabus, please visit the Simple Syllabus Knowledge Base and review Creating Syllabi by using Document Upload.
  • Create or edit your syllabus directly in Simple Syllabus. Auburn's template includes required and optional syllabus components, pre-populated university policy statements, helpful guidance, and automatic integration with Auburn University Bookstore course materials where applicable. To learn more about editing your syllabus in the system, please review the Instructor Editing Guide available in the Simple Syllabus Knowledge Base. If you have questions, please email us at syllabus@auburn.edu.
Faculty Support

To assist with the transition, Simple Syllabus Zoom Room drop-in sessions will continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. through August 20. Faculty are welcome to join at any time for assistance with creating, editing, uploading, publishing, or troubleshooting their syllabi. No registration is required.
