Graduate Program Assistants

University Writing offers assistantships that include a monthly stipend and full tuition remission. Graduate Program Assistants support graduate student programming, serve clients in the Miller Writing Center, facilitate workshops, develop teaching materials, and implement projects that align with their professional goals. We offer the following assistantships:

Miller Writing Center Peer Consultants

Miller Writing Center peer consultants are the primary providers of support to student writers at Auburn University. Peer consultants assist writers with projects through one-on-one tutoring sessions. They must be available to work at least ten hours per week for two semesters. Successful candidates begin asynchronous training in May and start to tutor in the writing center in August.

Front desk representatives (FDRs) assist with daily operations and provide administrative support to the Miller Writing Center. Applications for the 2025-26 positions have closed.
