Graduate Program Assistants
University Writing offers assistantships that include a monthly stipend and full tuition remission. Graduate Program Assistants support graduate student programming, serve clients in the Miller Writing Center, facilitate workshops, develop teaching materials, and implement projects that align with their professional goals. Applicants for college-specific assistantships (CHS, CLA, COSAM, and CFWE) must be enrolled in that college.

College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment Graduate Writing Fellow (Position filled for 26-27)
Applications for 2026-2027 positions are due Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Miller Writing Center Peer Consultants
Miller Writing Center peer consultants are the primary providers of support to student writers at Auburn University. Peer consultants assist writers with projects through one-on-one tutoring sessions. They must be available to work at least ten hours per week for two semesters. Successful candidates begin asynchronous training in May and start to tutor in the writing center in August.
Complete the 2026-27 peer consultant application via AU Human Resources by Sunday, March 8.

Front desk representatives (FDRs) assist with daily operations and provide administrative support to the Miller Writing Center. 2026-27 FDR applications are due Sunday, March 15.
