The Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) is a student organization that represents future underrepresented medical students. The main interest of MAPS is increasing the number of physicians of color entering the workforce. Knowing that pre-medical students are our future medical professionals and scientists, MAPS offers mentorship, pre-med workshops, volunteer opportunities and education about relevant healthcare topics.

The three main goals of MAPS include:
(1) To provide underrepresented pre-med students with knowledge, skills, and experience that are both prerequisite & concomitant to professional participation in health care fields.
(2)To improve minority student matriculation into all professional health related programs, with an emphasis on medicine.
(3) To encourage culturally conscious physicians by increasing awareness of issues that underrepresented communities face.
