G.U.T.S.

GUTS is a monthly evening program aimed at first-sixth grade students and their parent or grandparent. Each evening will include dessert followed by a 1½ hour science activity. Each activity features a “Getting Under The Surface’ theme, that will focus on how common objects (such as toasters and roller coasters) and techniques (such as DNA fingerprinting) work. Topics will appeal to all audiences and can be demystified using simple scientific concepts.

Audience:

• 1st through 6th grade

*Desserts will be served each evening at 6 p.m. followed by the courses from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
