Littleton Franklin Lecture: Barry Lopez

Time: Apr 12, 2011 (04:00 PM)
Location: Sciences Center Auditorium

Many of us believe we are attuned to the natural world. We may spend an afternoon fishing in a stream, a weekend camping, or an hour or two gazing at it fondly through a vehicle window. Barry Lopez has spent many decades observing nature closely and in considerable detail. He has also lived with human groups, such as the Inuit, whose lives and wellbeing depend on accurately reading the subtle shifts and significant details of the world in which they live.
