Meeting/Field trip of Society for Conservation Biology - DBS

This second meeting of Fall 2013 includes a local field trip! First Dr. Sharon Hermann from our department will talk to us about Longleaf Pine restoration techniques, including those she and her students are using on campus. Her talk is a precursor to a planned campus tour of her campus restoration sites on the following Saturday. After Dr. Hermann’s talk, we’ll join Shawn Jacobsen and Dr. Debbie Folkerts for a night excursion to wetlands in Tuskegee National Forest. There we’ll search for night critters (from vertebrates to invertebrates) and learn about their biology from our expert hosts!
