Communicating your research, particularly in writing, is fundamental to all academic disciplines. On Aug. 29, Dr. James Truman (director of the Miller Writing Center) will lead a workshop/discussion on developing your writing skills as a physics professional. We will discuss analyzing different genres of scientific communication, assessing the expectations of your audience, collaborating effectively with peers, avoiding plagiarism, and using the Miller Writing Center as a resource to develop your academic writing skills.
