Details: Speaker: Dr. Georg Hetzer Title: Turing Instability Abstract: Alan Turing proposed diffusion driven instability as an explanation for morphogenesis, the formation of biological patterns during growth. Turing instability occurs in other fields, e.g. chemistry, ecology, medicine, and physics. I will present an introduction based on an activator-inhibitor narrative. |
