Title: Let the Data Speak for Themselves: Nonparametric Curve/Surface Estimation and Inference

Abstract: In this talk, I will give a general overview of my research program as part of my P&T evaluation. Advancements in modern technology have enabled the collection of sophisticated, high-dimensional data sets, such as curves, 2D/3D images and other objects living in a functional space, thus boosting the investigation of high-dimensional and function data. As such I will be talking about some projects on simultaneous inference for functional data, its covariance function and estimation of a generalized partially linear single-index model.
