Title: Confidence Intervals, Robust Simultaneous Confidence Bands, and What Else Is In-Between

Abstract: In this talk I will give a quick introduction of Functional Data Analysis. In particular, I’ll present the concept of a “Simultaneous Confidence Band” and discuss why such concept is needed. If outliers are present to spoil the data, “Robust” methods are essential. I’ll give a brief introduction to Robust Statistical Methods, and follow with an introduction to Robust Functional Data Analysis.
