Details: Speaker: Dr. Jerzy Szulga Title: Signed groups and algebras Abstract: The notions will be defined. The origins and properties will be reviewed. The connections to various areas will be displayed: e.g., probability theory, quantum physics, dyadic harmonic analysis, chaos theory, graphs, finite fields of characteristic 2, set theory, and combinatorics, to name but a sample. Open problems will be stated. --- Fragments of this theory were presented previously in the Stochastic Seminar talks. |
